The election of Indonesia’s seventh president is the highlight of the August 2014 edition of “ASEAN Today.”
Oung Ping Ann of Cambodia’s National Television co-anchors the program from Phnom Penh, with Dalton Tanonaka of The Indonesia Channel at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. The victory speech of Indonesia’s President-Elect Joko Widodo is part of the programme, along with reports on the mourning for the victims of the Malaysia Airlines tragedy in Ukraine, and Bangkok’s top visitor attractions. Durudee Sirichanya of the ASEAN Secretariat has the month’s regular feedback segment.
